FEROE cold gaiters cool both the limb and the horse’s foot. They feature 4 elastic pockets:
- 2 large limb pockets
- 2 small foot pockets
Ideal after strenuous exercise to ensure better recovery, and in the event of injury to reduce inflammation, engorgement and pain and speed healing.
They can be used with ice cubes or cold gel packs.
Made of neoprene with no holes to keep the cold in contact with the horse as much as possible. They adapt perfectly to the horse’s limb and foot thanks to the flexibility of neoprene, and close easily with three adjustable velcro fasteners on the limb and one on the foot.

USING COLD GEL PACKS
To use a cold gel pack, place it in a plastic bag before putting it in the freezer. Leave to cool for at least two hours. Once the cold gel pack is cold:
- Remove from freezer
- Slide the gel pouches into the elastic pouches
- Leave the cold gel pack in place for up to 20 minutes.
- Repeat application every 2 to 3 hours, if necessary.
The Dispotech cold gel pouch is a medical device made of plastic and filled with a non-toxic gel. Here are a few more tips on how to use a cold gel pack safely:
- Do not place the cold gel pack directly on the skin.
- Do not leave the pouch in place for more than 20 minutes at a time. This could result in tissue damage.
MAINTENANCE
- Water washable
- Can be machine-washed, cold, 2 or 3 times a year. Be careful to close the Velcro fasteners and ideally place them in a washing net.
